How we built the workflow management platform for automotive workshops

GoGroup identified the gaps and assembled the right team within a matter of weeks. Using an agile-development approach and regular iterations, the GoGroup Dedicated Venture team quickly arrived at a holistic, scalable CRM and order management system for workshops. These software systems help the workshop manage their jobs, chose and order parts, manage their orders, host a turnkey website and so on. For ZF, the solution has become a vital digital backbone of its longtail business.

ZF is a leading technology company in the automotive industry. As a leading industry player, the aftermarket division is selling a large spectrum of parts with net sales north of 3bn€. In a market with a strong long-tail, ZF holds business relations with thousands of car workshops. After struggling with a pre-exiting internal tool, ZF sought help from GoGroup to build an efficient, easy to use CRM platform to manage the longtail business.

Digitizing an extreme longtail business with thousands of small business owners that are often hesitant to use digital tools requires software that convinces across the board: a smart variety of functionalities, simple, intuitive user interfaces, interoperability with legacy systems and a convincing go-to-market approach.

Since the launch, ZF has brought multiple workshops on the platform and they are now moving their operations seamlessly to this newly built tool.
